In 2004, TAG Heuer introduced the Aquaracer line of watches, with roots going back to Heuer’s first dive watches from the early 1980s. Heuer introduced its first dive watches in 1978, and after offering the entirely utilitarian 1000 Series models, broadened its collection of dive watches in 1982 to add elements of fashion and broader appeal, with the arrival of the 2000 Series. The bracelet is in three-row fine-brushed steel with steel clasp and safety push buttons to prevent accidental opening. An integrated diver extension allows it to be worn over a wet suit for diving or surfing. The 41mm brushed and polished steel case is fitted with six studs to facilitate handling with diving gloves. The screw-down crown has double safety gaskets to prevent dust or water penetration.
