18K white gold Cartier Tank Américaine, Ref. 1726,  is a water-resistant, rectangular-curved, 18K white gold and automatic wristwatch with a leather strap. The 23mm x 41mm case has a case back secured by 4 screws,  and sapphire crystal. Case dimensions: 41.60 mm x 22.60 mm, thickness: 9.50 mm. The silvered engine-turned dial features painted radial Roman numerals, and blued steel epée hands, secret Cartier signature at 7 o’clock, date aperture at 6 o’clock, center seconds, rectangular case, faceted sapphire-set crown. The movement is a mechanical movement with automatic winding, case, dial and movement signed Cartier. The Tank Américaine has been through a number of iterations and for most of its life those have been in precious metals. Following its debut in 1995 in white gold, it was traditionally the white gold and platinum versions that were the most sought after.
